Testing Long Rod Insulators
Long rod composite insulators used in transmission lines (110kV to 765kV) can be up to 4-5 meters in length. Standard vertical UTMs cannot accommodate these specimens. The horizontal configuration allows testing of full-length units including complete insulator strings with fittings attached.
